This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with Nour Hoballah, Product Management Officer, based in our Luxembourg office. Continue reading if you want to find out what she likes best about BlueOrchard, what advice she has for those interested in impact investing, and what she thinks is the biggest global challenge.

Nour, what do you enjoy most about working at BlueOrchard?

BlueOrchard offers me an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment where I can do impactful work in asset management with a steep learning curve.

What is the most valuable advice you can give to people interested in impact investing?

If you are passionate about impact investing, first try to get a deeper knowledge of the different dimensions of impact investing, from sustainable infrastructure to microfinance lending. Find the investment vehicle or sector that matches your interests and skills.

Lastly, what is the biggest global challenge in your view?

Lack of access to education in many countries. According to UNESCO, 244 million children and young people worldwide do not go to school. I am particularly sensitive to this issue because I grew up in a country where it is crucial to eliminate inequalities in access to education. Therefore, it became clear to me at a young age that lack of access to the necessary educational resources limits socio-economic progress and long-term well-being.

Thank you, Nour.
