This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with Simone Cotto, Sustainable Infrastructure Analyst, based in Zurich, Switzerland.

  • Why did you join BlueOrchard?

As I neared the completion of my university studies, I felt a strong desire for my career to be more than just a job. I wanted it to serve a purpose and contribute to solving some of the pressing issues our world is facing. By chance, BlueOrchard had just launched its first infrastructure strategy at that time. This presented an ideal opportunity for me to combine my interest in real assets with a meaningful mission to positively impact society and the environment.

  • What do you enjoy most about working at BlueOrchard?

What I appreciate most about BlueOrchard is the culture. It is a place filled with interesting people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Everyone is driven, in their own way, by the desire to make a positive impact. This shared mission creates a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where the success of the broader cause is naturally prioritized over individual achievements.

  • What is the most memorable experience you have made during your time at BlueOrchard?

The most memorable experience during my time at BlueOrchard has to be the company-wide offsite in Istanbul. It was an incredible opportunity to meet colleagues from all our offices around the world. The diversity and richness of experiences that everyone brought to the table was truly inspiring. Not only did we spend quality time discussing professional matters, but we also had the chance to bond on a personal level. This event highlighted the sense of unity and shared mission that makes BlueOrchard a unique working environment.
